At the 2026 Australian and New Zealand Glaucoma Society Congress, it was incredible to see the innovative developments being made in glaucoma detection, management, and treatment. Glaucoma often goes unnoticed by patients in its early stages and the resulting sight loss may be irreversible, making both clinical and lifestyle interventions following diagnosis all the more valuable.

At the congress, we heard first-hand from eye care professionals and glaucoma specialists about some of the latest innovations being made in glaucoma management. Some of the highlights included:
